Terms of use
These terms apply to the Artemis Maps app and website, and to buying premium. They are written to be read: if something is unclear, write to us.
Who we are
Artemis Maps is run from Montenegro.
Write to us at artem1ja2244@gmail.com.
Using Artemis Maps
The app is free to use, with offline maps for one country. Premium adds offline maps for every country we cover. You may use Artemis Maps for your own trips; please do not copy our servers’ content in bulk, overload them or resell the map packs. The open data inside stays under its own licences, see Open data.
Stay safe outdoors
Maps, paths, parking, walk times and difficulty come from open data and our own estimates. They can be wrong or out of date, and weather and conditions change. Check the way, follow signs and local rules, and turn back when in doubt: you are responsible for your own safety.
Artemis Maps is not an emergency service. In an emergency in Montenegro and the EU, call 112.
Buying premium
On our website, premium is sold by Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record, which also handles VAT and customer service for payments; Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the purchase. In the app, premium is sold through the App Store or Google Play under their terms.
The price, what it includes and how long it lasts are shown before you pay, VAT included. A yearly premium renews automatically at the end of each year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: on the website through the link in Paddle’s receipt email, in the app in your store account settings. Premium then stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
If the price changes, we tell you by email at least 30 days before your next renewal, so you can cancel first.
Refunds
If premium bought on our website is not right for you, ask for a full refund within 14 days of the purchase, with no reason needed: through Paddle at paddle.net, or by writing to us. For purchases in the App Store or Google Play, refunds follow the store’s rules and are requested from the store.
This does not limit your rights under consumer law, including the 14-day right of withdrawal in the EU.
Your account
An account is optional. You can delete it at any time in the app under Profile → Delete account. We may close an account that is used to abuse the service or other people.
Liability
We build Artemis Maps with care, but we cannot promise it is always available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence or harm to life and health.
Changes and law
If these terms change, we update the date at the top and tell premium buyers by email before the change applies to them. The law of Montenegro applies, but you keep the protection of the consumer law of the country where you live.
